Notts Sport Synthetic Surfacing
Notts Sport was founded in 1984 by owner and Chairman Shaun Patrick, alongside his father, and over the years they have built an incredibly vast portfolio, becoming the preferred synthetic surfacing supplier for schools and clubs across the globe.
In recent years, our partnership reached new heights, when we received not one, but two International Hockey Federation (FIH) accreditations for pitches installed at Romsey School and Caedmon College – a testament to the high quality ethos of both companies.

“Notts Sport have been working with the Horrocks family and John Morrison for over 20 years. Originally, Leigh Spinners were one of several needle-punch suppliers that Notts Sport used.
In 2017 we came to an exclusive agreement with John. This has now moved into a very close working relationship based on trust and an agreed principal of quality goods, high service levels and a commitment to Research and Development. Leigh Spinners have always been flexible in the way they look after the Notts Sport account, and in 2018, we extended the agreement to include full warehousing and distribution.
The partnership between the two organisations has gone from strength to strength and the product portfolio now includes NottsSward carpets for play and sport as well as component products for the Notts Sport range of artificial cricket pitches. The products have been developed and sold into over 30 countries, including Germany, Finland, the USA, and Spain.”

Greengauge Bowls Surfaces
Leigh Spinners Ltd have been working with Greengauge for over 20 years, dealing primarily with Managing Director and owner Graham Robertson.
Greengauge have supplied and installed a range of bowling surfaces in 27 countries since 1975 and the surfaces remain the number one selling bowling surface brand in the world. As part of our working relationship, we manufacture Greengauge Punch – a World Bowls approved surface. The surface has been a market leader for two decades, dominant in Europe within the hotel and holiday industry.
Greengauge prides itself on heritage, passion and expertise – Graham has won National, International and World titles in Bowls, representing Scotland for over 30 years and the team at Greengauge includes National title winners, so it’s safe to say that they know what they’re talking about.
Their reputation is second to none and, as always, it is incredibly satisfying to work with a business who strive for the same high standards we do.

Mercado
Mercado is the biggest flooring distributor in the UK, with a wide range of carpet and flooring solutions. A division of the Headlam Group, the Leeds based company has been working with Leigh Spinners for a number of years. Since 2018, our dealings have been with Gary Poole although, through the group, Gary has personally worked with Leigh Spinners for much longer…

Abingdon Flooring
The vast majority of companies we work with are based in the UK, and it’s no different for Abingdon Flooring, who have facilities across Great Britain.
The company has been involved in the carpet industry for decades and started out as a family business. For over 30 years, they were part of Carpets International, later merging with Victoria PLC, the UK’s largest carpet manufacturer.
Leigh Spinners Ltd have been working closely with Abingdon for almost 15 years and making sure that product specifications are meticulously adhered to, as well as ensuring that quality is never compromised, forms the basis of our partnership.
